One of the most lethal scorers in the league has finally picked his new team - Houston Rockets
For some time, it has been known that Kevin Durant will leave the Phoenix Suns. The only vague fact was his next destination. However, earlier today, the decision was made: one of the most lethal scorers in the NBA will join the Houston Rockets!
BREAKING: The Phoenix Suns are trading two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft and five second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. pic.twitter.com/EwrbA2ES9O

The trade will officially be announced after July 6, but given that one of the most renowned NBA insiders, Shams Charania, "spilt the beans" about the agreement, it can be considered a done deal.
The Suns' "big three" of Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal fell seriously short last season, so the Arizona franchise will start a new chapter in the upcoming campaign, reinforced by Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, five second-round picks, and the pick #10 from the following draft, whom it received in exchange for KD.
Several sides were battling for Durantula's allegiance. The Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs were the favourites to sign him, but in the end, the Rockets emerged victorious, probably thanks to their head coach, Ime Udoka. Durant and the 47-year-old strategist cooperated at the Brooklyn Nets, and the USA national team, so Udoka's impact was undoubtedly significant.
Finally, Durant's arrival immediately moves Houston up on the list of the favourites to win the title in the 2025/2026 season. Even though he's 36, KD is still one of the most efficient players in the league, as he noted 26.6 points, six rebounds, and 4.2 assists on average during the past season with the Suns.
